** IMPORTANT VISA INFORMATION

If you are a non-EU/EEA national from a visa-exempt country, you are permitted to spend up to 90 days within the Schengen area for tourism or short-term study within any rolling 180-day period. If your stay does not exceed 90 days and you do not intend to return to the Schengen zone during the remainder of that 180-day window, you do not require a pre-arranged visa. However, any time spent in Europe during the 3 months preceding your arrival at Rio Vida will count toward this cumulative 90-day limit.

For instance, students who attend the Fall term at Taurenhof in Austria and transition directly to Rio Vida for the Winter term will exceed the visa-free limit and must apply for a visa, which we recommend requesting through the Austrian authorities.

Please note that combining Bible School programs can complicate the visa process. We advise against attending the Kingfisher Fall Bible School in Greece prior to Rio Vida’s Winter Bible School, as students attempting this itinerary have frequently faced visa denials from both Greek and Spanish consular authorities.

Additionally, citizens of countries that do not have a visa-waiver agreement with the EU—including many nations across Asia and Africa—must secure a valid Schengen visa prior to arrival for the entire duration of their stay. Because current consular policies present significant challenges for students from these regions securing student visas for Rio Vida, we recommend exploring Bible school programs hosted in alternative countries.
